Gadelle’s travel blog entry: “On the morning of the 8th, we had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. When Max and Tristan ordered two pancakes, each the waitress warned them that the pancakes were really big. This did nothing to dissuade them; they both stuck with their initial order, and were served two inch-thick pancakes the size of dinner plates. Neither one of them managed to finish their meal. After breakfast, we loaded the durian into the van drove over to Greenwell Kona Coffee Farm. The island’ss west coast harbours a micro-climate over a stretch but a couple of miles long that is ideal for growing coffee, and you can visit some of the farms. This place had, in addition to coffee, avocado trees and orange trees. We were given fruit to take with us. I got to take them back to Japan with me, because the rest of my family was flying through the fruit-fearful continental United States. At Greenwell Farm, we met an adorable little chameleon. We even got to hold it! Its tiny feet were tipped with sharp claws, but they were so small they merely tickled. The soles of its feet were one of the softest things I’ve ever felt. As we were looking over the items in the gift shop after the tour, my father got to chatting with one of the workers. It turned out he had lived much of his life in Japan, and
